Even the best fire sprinkler systems need to be routinely inspected and tested to ensure
that they will always be ready when needed.Automatic sprinkler systems, especially the
wet pipe type, require minimal maitenance. More elaborate systems, such as dry pipe,
deluge, preaction and other specialized systems, require additional inspection procedures
to ensure efficient system operation. Every sprinkler system requires periodic inspections to detect defects in the system or changes in the physical environment it protects, either of
which might prevent proper system functioning. Maintenance procedures could also reveal
needed system repairs caused by mechanical damage or unsafe modifications.
